Creativity, Connection and Shared Experiences: Servas Spain’s International Gathering

From 21 to 27 September 2026, Servas Spain brought people together for an inspiring international gathering centred on creativity, cultural exchange and active participation.

Throughout the week, participants had the opportunity to connect, share experiences and learn from one another through a diverse programme of workshops and activities. Yoga and qi gong offered moments for movement and well-being, while crafts, art and painting encouraged creative expression. Dance and theatre brought energy, spontaneity and opportunities for participants to explore new ways of communicating and collaborating.

The programme also included two days of excursions, allowing participants to discover the surrounding area, enjoy its local character and deepen their connections through shared experiences beyond the workshops.

More than a programme of activities, the gathering offered an opportunity to experience the spirit of Servas in practice: building friendships across cultures, learning from one another, and creating meaningful connections through openness, participation and mutual understanding.

The enthusiasm and shared experiences of the week made it a memorable occasion. The good news is that this international gathering will return next year, offering another opportunity to meet, create, exchange ideas and strengthen the bonds that bring the Servas community together.
