• World Peace Music CD

• With Magiari (Venezuela), Luciana (Argentina), Sonia (Canada), Tanveer (Pakistan) and others we have done an international compilation of peace music with a young profile to promote Servas, our aims and ideals.

• As a powerful tool of communication we are sure that this CD will be increase our outreach into the youth.

• The Languages, cultural and regional diversity of Servas are represented trough the 26 songs of this CD.

• This project will request some financial support to get into it’s second stage of distribution.


• Distant voting

• The first Distant Voting process will be celebrated soon. Please spend a minute or two reading the SERVAS YOUTH proposals.

• The voting will focus on “Budget” for the next year 2008, and on the Auditor's Report for 2004. Servas Youth will be asking for a proper budget to follow the action plan approved by the General Assembly in Latina’06.

• We do hope to count with your support.


• Yorkshire’07

Ann Greenhough and Servas Britain have prepared everything for the second international Servas Youth Meeting, “Yorkshire’07”.

• The “Youth Travel Award”, project that Servas Youth is running with a group of volunteers will let several young travelers join this meeting

SERVAS YOUTH REPORT 1ST Term 2007 (January - June)

• Regional and Youth conference for Central America.

  • During one week, at the Earth University of Costa Rica, we have celebrated “Youth and Leadership for Servas Central America”.
  • Delegates from Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico. The youth group, was the 50% of the people present.
  • EXCO and DFC support were crucial to this action.

A detailed report was sent to EXCO, DFC, Regional Coord. of Central America and National Sec. Including a Summary, Agenda, Evaluations, Election Process, Minutes by sessions and List of assistants. Thanks for the local group, under Carmen Mora coordination, that helped me a lot.


• SYLE ’07 (Servas Youth Languages Experience)

• The program offers one month learning a foreign language abroad through the Servas network.

• The third edition of the program will be during the second term of 2007.

• During the first term the promotion, travelers selection and coordination with port cities were done. Reaching the record of “ 8 SYLE ” with the original goal of 5/6 for this year.

• Volunteers for working on the web with us are a crucial requirement for us to achieve our goal.

• Create a link to the new servasyouth.org from your national website


As you can see Servas Youth is a very dynamic area of our organization, so:

1. HELP US TO SPREAD THE NEWS OF SERVAS YOUTH !!! Send this news to all the members at your National Group!!!

2. Create a link from your Servas web site to the servasyouth.org

3. Look for candidates to SYLE, Working Group, Local Contact or any other youth action.

4. Get involved!!!
