CONFERENCE D'INFORMATION SERVAS 2008
CENTRE CULTUREL RUSSE
CONGO BRAZZAVILLE
21 SEPTEMBRE 2008

At the time of the celebration of the world peace day issued by the United Nations, peace remains a common and fundamental ideal whose realization remains a burning obligation for all people, all men and women of today. It requires more than ever to be promoted.

Indeed, for nearly 60 years men and women joined together within Servas, a nongovernmental organization, have worked and continued to work to help to establish peace in the world. Created by one impassioned of the peace, BOB LUITWEILLER, inspired by GANDHI, Servas International is network of over 15.000 men and women in the world, recognized by the United Nations accredited with the advisory statutes.

It is to take part in this that, one year ago, the Servas group in Congo Brazzaville was set up. By organizing this conference of information, Servas Congo Brazzaville wishes to create one moment for the promotion of the good practices and experiences of Servas in favour of peace. This is like the national opinion of the Congolese peoples who look to the organization of peace for thus reinforcing our actions whilst inspiring us by these experiences to continue to act for peace in the local plan.
