Event Name: Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, thirty-eighth session
Event Date: 14 May - 1 June -2007 Event Location: New York, UNHQ
Event Description: The 38th Session will consider reports submitted by States parties on measures taken to implement the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). The Committee will examine country reports from Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Pakistan, Serbia, Syrian Arab Republic and Vanuatu. During its sessions the CEDAW Committee considers reports of States parties to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. Following such consideration, the CEDAW Committee formulates concluding comments that assist the State party in the further implementation of the Convention.
