Dear Servas Host List Officers and National Secretaries To be able to send your country the desired Host Lists, we need to learn how many lists you wish to receive from each country. Please help us to be efficient, by filling the required info, after reading the guidelines.

Notes:
- On next page you can find a list of countries who are known to be producing a printed list for 2005. If you are interested in the HL of a Servas Country not listed on this page, you can try to inquiry me, and in cooperation with related country we will see how their list can be made available.
- For some countries you can find electronic versions on www.servas.org/login, (“Host List Storage area” link). For permissions, you may ask from hostlistcoordinator@servas.org, or your Area Coordinator.
- Please remember, that all countries are expected to print and distribute their host list, even if they can be found in the HL storage area or in WHALE.
- Sending host lists via an Email should be done only in a protected way, mainly with a password - sent in a different email. But the more recommended way is to upload the list into the Servas web site (HL storage area).
- During last GA in Barcelona it has been proposed to accept WHALE as the world wide system for preparing and printing host data but no country is obliged to adopt it. Data in WHALE is currently not in the responsibility of SI, and is run by a group of active countries and volunteers. They are eager to help countries who wish to join that important project.
- Some HL especially in Asia and Africa are printed together in one combined booklet.
- Following countries have asked expressly for help in collecting / printing / distributing their HL:
Algeria, Barbados, Botswana, Brazil, Estonia, Gambia, Ghana, Malawi, Mexico, Morocco, Netherland Antilles, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Togo, Uganda.
- Some countries (like Switzerland, Canada, Germany and italy soon) are currently involved in the so-called “buddy” project, - helping other countries in printing/distribution their lists. I wish to use this opportunity to invite more countries and individuals to offer their help,
- Countries volunteering to try to print HL for their travellers (2nd pilot project proposed in Barcelona), or to help in Buddy cooperation are being asked to contact hostlistcoordinator@servas.org
- Even if I worked hard to have a correct picture of the situation, this document may possibly contain errors, so be patient and just let me know errors and missing information.
