A CALL FOR AN EXTRA GENERAL ASSEMBLY (EGA)
From the Statutes
- the General Assembly may be convened
- at any time when requested by at least
- one fifth of member groups
At this time, the following member countries have requested that EXCO call for a General Assembly
- Brazil
- China
- Croatia
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Guatemala
- India
- Indonesia
- Israel
- Italy
- Mauritius
- Morocco
- Norway
- Peru
- Philippines
- Poland
- Portugal
- Singapore
- South Africa.
- Spain
- Sri Lanka
- Turkey
- Uganda
- U.S.A.
- Uzbekistan
During our meetings in Paris, representatives of Germany,
France and the United States of America assured us that they
would be able to gather the required number of countries.
For that reason, an Action Plan for the EGA was created.
To see the plan, we encourage you to visit EXCO’s new
web site, which is linked to servas.org., at www.siexco.org.
In the near future EXCO will outline, for consideration of all National Secretaries,
- the shape of a possible programme for an EGA
- the timing and process by which this EGA would be developed and
- options for logistical arrangements including
- costs to participants and
- costs to Servas International.
- To help those who knew little or nothing about the reasoning for such a request,
- we will be sending a series of newsletters keeping you informed.
