MESSAGE FROM THE SI VICE PRESIDENT

GREETINGS FROM NEPAL
THE LAND OF BUDDHA-- (the symbol of Peace)
MOUNT EVEREST–– (the highest peak in the world

Dear Friends, Thank you all for putting your faith in me once again by re-electing me as the Vice-President of Servas International.

Three years back, when I became the V.P. of Servas, I had a clear picture in my mind about what I wanted to achieve during my tenure as V.P. With God's blessings, all of your help and your support, I was able to achieve most of that.

We had our ups & downs. I made a lot of good freinds, many came forward to support me and many came up with very good, useful suggestions. At the same time a few people were unhappy with me. In a vast & diversified organization like Servas one cannot please everybody. Few tried to tarnish my image with false accusations.

I always welcome criticism, if it is healthy and when it is done with good intentions, since it helps me improve my work whenever there is place for improvements.

During this term I hope to improve Servas in all ways possible. For that I will need all of your continuing support and suggestions. I want to emphasize involving more young people in work camps & other Servas activities. So, during this tenure if any of the branches plan to organize work camps, please do let me know about them in detail, beforehand.

The prime responsibilites of the V.P. are to look after the smooth working of all branches and, with the help of the Area Coordinator, try to solve any problem that arises there.

If any of you need any help or suggestions from me, please feel free to contact me anytime, I will be more than happy to be of any help to you. You may write to me about any matter that you want me to discuss, on your behalf, in our Exco meeting.

Lastly I would like to thank all the people who helped me through my tenure, notably Gary White from the US, Barbara from France and W.D. Michael from Malysia. I hope their support, as well as support from others, continues to come during the next three years.

Thank You Bibendra Pradhananga Vice-President, Servas Int. pbibendra@yahoo.com
